Our worst Booking.com so far.

The location turned out to be the best aspect of this booking: away from, but near enough to, the main roads and town centre. Easy enough to walk safely or to opt for public transport.

Property was advertised to include TV: sockets were nonfunctioning and one on that double socket was broken as in split right through, therefore the screen did not work. A freestanding fan was provided, which appeared to be a godsend in the heatwave: again the socket for that was one of those broken ones. We moved the fan to the foot of the bed to the only other usable sockets, another twin socket where the right hand socket was cracked right through leaving only one usable socket. Similarly, there were issues with the wiring of the light switches. There were only 2 light switches: main light directly over bed & shower/toilet light. However, the toilet switch did NOT turn on the toilet light unless the main light was switched on first... anyone using the toilet through the night most definitely woke up their partner. The entire electrics of this property are a mess and potentially extremely dangerous. There were a few other issues too, such as the cool box door being broken and only held up (but not enough) by the fridge door, floor was swept but shown to be filthy etc etc, but the electric issues were definitely the most important.

On the ground floor so no stairs. Small, walled gravel area at the side is enclosed and green :) The bedroom door locked

Everything else, and I mean everything! - majority of wallpaper peeling away - toilet seat only attached on one side - toilet seat dirty - flush has issues (2-4 presses) - 1/2 a roll of toilet paper for a 3-night stay - stains on duvet 3 (foundation?) - found long, dark curly hairs in bed 1. under pillow 2. at foot of mattress 3. on pillow - cigarette ash in the top wardrobe drawer - microwave plate & wheel disconnected and askew - stains on walls - dirty cutlery - old discoloured sugar - large areas of black mould 1. entire corner behind microwave 2. the wall behind the toilet 3. under the window - right window does not open - curtains only half attached - curtain rail jams - significant gaps (coverage & privacy) 1. both ends 2. in middle - baby upstairs so lots of crying & screaming throughout stay - opening the R (unlocked) bedroom door I was traumatised to see a male resident mas******ing - TV hanging on at an angle with no top screws on the wall mount - TV remote almost-dead batteries
