The house was modern, very clean and tidy; it was comfortable and had a good-sized kitchen with a washing machine and dishwasher and a large table. The location was excellent, enabling easy access to many different tourist and shopping places. The neighbourhood was very quiet, and there was an off-street parking place at the front.
We felt that not enough crockery was provided – plates, cereal bowls, etc. – which meant repeated washing up/dishwasher use had to be undertaken each night. There were no trays, wine glasses, no starter condiments and no seats to sit on outside – all of which would have been useful.

New house. Very clean, well equipped and comfortable. Nicely decorated and furnished. Off road parking and smart TV.
Great location for touring the Newcastle area and westwards along Hadrian's Wall.
Basic manuals are needed for the appliances. We could not get the electric hob to work properly. Not sure whether it was broken or we simply could not work out how to use it. ( in fairness we did not contact Host & Stay about this, but decided to eat out instead). Egg cups needed. Also, as older people, we would have benefitted from a non-slip mat to go in the shower base.
