Do not book SEASCAPE LODGE under any circumstances unless you want to be disappointed &disrespected.
Nothing, absolutely nothing. There's nothing to love about that place we didn't even sleep in that flat. We couldn't, it was in a very bad state
Everything, from the flat down to the owner.
The flat had a very bad odour, especially on the wadrope that is near the bed on your left. They used that wadrope as a storage of some sort. The bed and bedding is beyond BAD, The blinds in the bedroom can't be closed, the backroom door can't be opened, dirty old chairs, old crt Tv it doesn't even work, some of the cupboards are closed with celotape, the towels in the bathroom are smelly, the flat was not cleaned. Upon our arrival, I contacted the owner, told her we can't spend the night in this flat because of how bad it was, she told us she'll get back to us in 2 hours because she's on the way and her car broke down. We told her we can't wait that long because it's getting late and we are not familiar with this place and she dropped the call. We immediately gave the keys back to the lady next door and we explained our situation to her and shame she tried to comfort us and directed us to few BnBs that are nearby. Unfortunately, all the BNBs were fully booked. While we're going around looking the 2 hours she promised to get back to us in passed and she did not bother calling or sending a text yet we made it very clear to her that we are not sleeping there. We ended up searching online for BNBs in Bizana which is 85km away from Margate but it is the only place that we're familiar with and once availability was confirmed we went there and spent the night. The following morning I decided to contact the owner again since she decided not to get back to us, all I wanted now was our refund. She told me booking.com handles the refunds and when I tried to cancel and get the full refund, it kept directing me to contact the owner for it. Which I did, to my surprise, the owner now changed the whole narrative and says we spent the night there and only left in the morning. I sent images and pdfs that proved otherwise, she then said doesn't handle transactions. 2 nigths money gone!

Everything in the room was untidy, bad smelling. Dirty bedding. Is opposite that I saw in the booking. Com.

Worst place ever
The location is good.
The unit itself is in a bad state, it should never be let out to holidaymakers. It has a stale odour, and the furniture is disgusting.. There is a vintage TV that doesn't work,no sofas, a back door that doesn't open, blinds that stay open.This apartment needs a desperate upgrade. The host has a bad attitude, and her photos and description of the place is misleading.
