Its location is perfect if you are ok with a bit of walking and using stairs - close the Acropolis, the Agora and several ( a lot, actually) of restaurants and tourist shopping.

If going uphill is not for you, this is not the place.

We absolutely loved this place, it was like home from home. The communication with the host was excellent and the self check in system worked seamlessly. The location couldn't have been better for our first stay in Athens in the Plaka district. We were able to explore everything we wanted on foot with ease. We loved the feeling of homeliness that the house afforded, and it was wonderful to see family history still present in the form of pictures, cross stitches and ornaments. Sitting right up high on the rooftop having wine and nibbles was the best part of the night, after getting in from a full day of exploration. We were also very grateful for the little gifts left by the host in the form of bread, jam, water, muffins, etc. Much appreciated and a lovely gesture before we found a supermarket. There are a few inexpensive restaurants within 5 mins walk too, nice traditional Green Tavernas. The most photographed staircase Mnisikleous Street is 3 mins walk away, the Acropolis is about a slow 30 min walk away. Syntagma square 15 mins walk, Monistitski square and metro station 7 mins walk. Supermarket called Bazzar 10 min walk, but Bizzarely doesnt sell much water!! I wouldn't advise this area and essentially this property for people with walking difficulties or severely unfit, as there is either a steep hill on the approach from Monistitski or a good number of stairs leading up through the town through the aforementioned picturesque Plaka stairs. We used to love the walk back up through them.

Nothing, we felt everything was just perfect and we can't wait to return.

Amazing apartment--highly recommended. The location can't be beat--steps away from the Acropolis and the Roman Agora, but on a quiet and charming street. The host has thought of everything--they left us wine and breakfast items, slippers, shampoo etc. etc. There is also an amazing patio with a view of Athens that we thoroughly enjoyed. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

Can't beat the location!! This place is in a quiet street but mere steps and pretty walk from restaurants, Anafiotika, Roman Agora and other ancient sites. The views were amazing from the nicely decorated and well furnished terrace. Thanks to the gracious hosts for the wine and snacks they made available for us. Very responsive hosts. Easy check-in. Beds were comfortable and plenty of good quality towels. The place has everything guests may need. We will definitely stay here again if we ever find ourselves back in Athens.

Taxi driver couldn't drive us to the door so we had to carry our luggage up a few stairs, but we got over this issue pretty quickly once we saw the property. The hosts were kind enough to call a taxi to take us to the cruise port upon checkout.
