This is a lovely hotel in beautiful grounds. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly however the dining area was very cold in the mornings and evenings. There was no heating even though there was a fire place. Also the swimming pool, which was a good size, was unheated which was a pity.

The location is excellent and the individual cottages are very nice. The staff and restaurant are also very good.

Hotel bath room floor tiles looks old & the joints between tiles need to clean nicely.

I liked that it is located with in walking distance to the gardens. But..all else was meh. I booked the room because it had a fireplace which turned out out to be for decoration only. I was freezing cold all night...the heater did nothing to warm the room. The bath towels were worn out threads. The bathroom was run down. All else just ok.. Def not worth the money.
