We meant to stay two nights and stayed six. When our plans changed, Dinara extended the stay the same day. She and her daughter speak good English and give good local tips: her trout restaurant was one of our best dinners in Kyrgyzstan. Having a washing machine halfway through the trip helped a lot. It is a quiet, comfortable base for day trips to Ak-Suu, Jeti-Ögüz, Jyrgalan and the ski base.

The guesthouse/homestay is run by a wonderful woman and her equally wonderful daughter. Both speak excellent English. The place is impeccable, the rooms are spacious, and you can even use the laundry machine for a minimal fee. We had lots of lovely chats and enjoyed tea together. They even gave me extra bedding because I had a bit of a cold. This is the best guesthouse I’ve ever stayed at. I extended one night, I wish I could’ve stayed longer.

I loved my stay here. I booked one night and stayed an additional four days. I was a bit under the weather and Dinara took care of me like I was family, making me tea and inviting me to share fresh food from her wonderful garden. It's peaceful and comfortable and feels like being at home. This is where I'll stay anytime I come back to Karakol.
