Lovely staff, good sized room with all the facilities, bed was v large,, pub full of bits and pieces but very clean. Included breakfast was huge with lots of options. Evening meal (pie night) was excellent and the chocolate peanut cheesecake amazing.

Drink prices much higher than we are used to. Room 8 was warm during a late heatwave, with windows open there was the noise of an extractor all the time.plenty of parking but a lot of it on a slope.

It was a typical (in my experience) English country inn.

very good selection for breakfast and tasty, good service from the staff at all times, the beef and ale pie was excellent as was the salmon and fish and chips.

The chicken wings and hot sauce were poorly executed, the wings were tough difficult to pull apart and all you could taste in the hot sauce was vinegar, some chips were nice and crispy others pale white and earthy, too much sauce placed on the plates rather than in a bowl.
