Geographical location and stylish interior.

Just a few things might have improved it. It’s described as pet friendly but once out of the back or front doors there’s nothing to stop a pet from wandering into the sometimes busy road. Perhaps a gate of some kind? I appreciate having to allow access to the cottage behind - which also highlighted the lack of blinds on the windows overlooking (or being looked into) the gravel path by the side of the cottage. Speaking of window blinds - not all of them had their child safety hook attachment fitted/anchored! And another safety issue - the electrical sockets in the kitchen - being so close to the worktop ‘upstand’ & matching trim, prevent the appliance plugs from being fully pushed in - thus leaving partially exposed (live) pins! The duvet had more than one stain and is in need of replacement. One hand towel between 3 guests is not enough. Surely 1 each is not unreasonable, especially if washing hair as that left no towel in the bathroom! One hand/tea towel in the kitchen is also not enough. At least one of each should be supplied, especially with no dishwasher available. The fridge was clean, but the freezer wasn't. There had clearly been a spill of some kind and it was quite iced up. This is off-putting at best and risks potential cross contamination. The dish drainer rack, water tray and cutlery basket were in need of a deep clean, especially the cutlery basket! It was very grubby in the bottom and again, is somewhat off putting. The dish washing brush should be binned. It was well used and in my opinion, not hygienic. The washing up bowl needs a thorough wipe over with bleach, especially on the bottom. The hand soap in the kitchen was completely empty so I replaced it with the one under the sink in the bathroom. The loo seat was loose. The skirting boards around the toilet are in need of a good clean! A broom and a brush and dust pan would be useful. A tea pot would be perfect.

Exceptional attention to detail and comfort. The host went 100% over and above to retrieve a personal momento of great sentimental value that had been left behind - there are no words to fully express my gratitude. The property was immaculate. The contents are immaculate. The village shop is an absolute Aladdin's cave and I couldn't think of a single thing that couldn't be purchased there. I would love to return.

Fabulous location, very close to where we wanted to visit. Beautiful cottage, very dog friendly. Would have preferred the garden to be accessible straight from the house for the dog, but was a very useful space. Very dog friendly.

Only that the garden area was separated from the house due to access for another property, so had to keep walking the dog out on the lead. However, the garden area was very useful. Also a mirror needed in the small bedroom. The larger room was really lovely, the smaller room could have been nicer.

Beautifully and tastefully decorated. Nice enclosed garden. Off road parking. Quite spacious for two. Warm. Easy to keep clean. Well stocked shop nearby.

The mattresses are terrible. The shower threatens to flood. No clothes hooks in the bathroom. Will not be returning.
