Comfortable Villa in a beautiful area which I’ve been travelling to for over 38 years .. plus over 70 Greek Islands .. Beautiful views from the balcony.. the Villa I had no complaints with .. but unfortunately very different regarding the swimming pool and the garden area and how it’s being managed ..

I arrived to find the pool filthy dirty with many dead bugs and bees in the pool also around the pool area .. The garden also wasn’t maintained properly and overgrown in areas .. there was a serious problem with bugs but even more so with hundreds of bees where I couldn’t use the garden for several days .It also took 5 days before the pool was cleaned .. I booked this villa months in advance and called the managing agent as I wanted to confirm whether it was OK to bring my small dog who is extremely well behaved, and told it would be fine… The owner of the property is in Germany, and it appears the managing agent only takes the bookings, has no control of anything else… I contacted Booking.com, who asked whether I wanted to be compensated the days I was unable to use the pool and it appears they spoke to the owner of the villa who told them I’d just turned up with my dog and didn’t accept dogs!!! It was obviously they’re a way of getting out of fully compensating me, and a total lie!!!!! The owner also told me the pool was cleaned by his son the day I arrived also having witnesses. Again, this was a lie as the guy who cleans the pool told me he’d contacted the owner a couple days before I was leaving apologizing as it was his mistake, he’d forgotten to add the chemicals . I then received an email from the owner apologizing stating he would have the villa thoroughly checked for any damages by my dog before giving any compensation.. there were no damages . I contacted him a few days later but he didn’t respond .. He did compensate me €200 which obviously wasn’t covering for the five days i was unable to use the garden area… A couple in the villa next door introduced themselves to me and appears they know the owner and remarked how filthy the pool was telling me not to use it and how overgrown the garden was in areas .. also mentioning they’d had problems in the past with complaints from guests!!!!
