My husband and I spent 4 nights at the seaside cottage as part of a 2 week Namibia road trip. This cute little "vintage" cottage sits along the beach among other houses that have obviously been scraped and replaced with modern vacation homes. We enjoyed having the extra space to spread out after days of camping and small lodge/hotel rooms. The washing machine was an added bonus. As one bag travelers we spend a lot of time hand washing clothes in sinks. The cottage was spotlessly clean, had everything we needed to prepare breakfasts, great restaurants for dinner minutes walking distance in either direction. The security guards were friendly, helped us find the parking space and watched the truck as we unloaded. We had a small issue with check in, as my WhatsApp was not working so I missed the check in instructions. We showed up at the office of the associated hotel and were assisted by the friendly woman at the office the get the lock box code. Check out was also not clear from the written instructions. We called the number and found out that we did not have to return to the office, just return the keys to the lock box and go. One other piece of advice is to be careful overloading the outlets. We tripped a fuse while running the washing machine (vintage property). We did find the fuse box panel next to the front door and were able to fix it pretty quickly. The Wifi went out when that fuse was tripped, so I suspect this is why another reviewer had issues with the Wifi. Other than that the Wifi worked great! Do not hesitate to stay here. Great value and space for the cost of a nearby hotel room.

Perfectly located right on the beach and within easy reach of the city centre. The property itself has a lot of character and a great atmosphere. We also appreciated the flexibility to change our dates, which was very helpful.

The service throughout our stay was exceptionally poor. I asked in advance whether an earlier check-in than 15:00 was possible, or, if not, whether there was a safe place where we could leave our luggage. We were advised to arrive after 15:00. When we arrived at 15:30, however, the property was still not ready. There was an issue with the electricity. Staff rushed out and assured us that it had been fixed, but it hadn't: around half of the sockets were still not working, and we had to work around the problem throughout our stay. The following day, the Wi-Fi stopped working. I contacted Perfect Stay but received no response. After sending a reminder, they simply told me that they had informed the owner. We never heard anything further. On our final day, there was a scheduled power outage. We had not been informed about it, so we unknowingly set the alarm and dishwasher to operate that morning. This was not a major issue, but when I asked how we could prevent the alarm from going off when the power was restored, I again received no response. Overall, the lack of communication and follow-up was extremely disappointing. Problems can happen, but what matters is how they are handled. In this case, the service and communication were simply not up to an acceptable standard.
