Trang An Ecorest Resort & Spa

We spent a wonderful two-night stay at Trang An Ecorest Resort & Spa and loved every moment. The owner, Nguyen welcomed us with genuine warmth and the entire staff (Moon, Hue) remained friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. The food was delicious, especially the local Vietnamese dishes served perfectly, the best ever we had in our trip. The resort is surrounded by breathtaking scenery, with lush mountains and gardens. The spacious grounds made every walk relaxing, and the clean swimming pool was so refreshing. A sudden heavy rain interrupted dinner by the pool. Within minutes, the staff calmly moved everyone indoors, protected our belongings, served hot towels, and rearranged the meal without delay. Their professionalism turned an unexpected situation into a memorable example of outstanding hospitality. We felt cared for throughout our stay. They offers comfort, nature, excellent services, and peaceful atmosphere. We would happily return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Ninh Binh for a true authentic experience.

Beautiful location, at the end of a quieter street, lots of limestone, fields, ducks and goats around! Short grab into Tam Coc, we really liked the location as it felt like the perfect balance between countryside but not too far out of town. Staff were lovely, tried their best to accomodate to my girlfriend's vegan diet and always had a smile on their face. The room was quite nice, comfy bed! The bathroom is awesome with direct views onto the limestone. The pool was fantastic too!

The only thing may be that since the shower is right in the middle of the bathroom near/ above the toilet, the bathroom stays wet after you have a shower so you need to be careful or you may slip lol :). Unfortunately the TV did not work.

- The staff were very friendly and attentive - The breakfast is simple but tasty (although we avoided the coffee, the instant 3 in 1 coffee provided in the room is nicer) - The surroundings are pretty, and though we did not use the pool because of the weather, it looked nice

- The room smelled terrible, there is clearly an issue with the plumbing that produces a sewage smell in the rooms. - The moutain view from the bathroom is a cool idea, but the area outside the windows is filled with trash - broken pots and tiles, loose wires etc - which make it look like a dump and not a serene mountainside - There is no soundproofing on the rooms, so you can hear everything from outside and the other rooms, which meant we barely slept. Not ideal in an area where you need to get up early to enjoy the nearby attractions - We don't mind harder beds, but these are very uncomfortable - We rented a motorbike abd it was quite expensive compared to other places, expecially considering the spedometer didn't work, and didn't have a light so wouldn't have been usable at night anyway
