Hotel Sherpani

The family room was spacious, clean and comfy. Soft beds, clean towels, hot water and good sized rooms. The staff including Chogyal, PhurbLham, Nima, Atisha Rai and the careful shuttle driver and many others were nothing but helpful, kind and friendly. The hotel was spic and span, great location 14 minutes from the stupa and the upstairs breakfast/dining restaurant offered amazing views and good food. Will stay here again for sure. Also, good value.

Can't fault it at all.

Excellent location within walking distance to cafes, restaurants, bars, shops and markets. It was very clean and quiet during sleeping hours and our room was a bit size. Probably the best shower I’ve had for weeks since travelling. Best part were the staff, they were all very friendly and welcoming and had great knowledge of the area, we had many heartfelt conversations and I felt at home.

There was nothing I didn’t like.

Nichts - es war alles gut

The staff was courteous and attentive, calling us three times to ensure we had eaten — a thoughtful gesture that didn’t go unnoticed. Additionally, the room was spacious, which made our stay more comfortable.

I recently stayed at this hotel and, unfortunately, the experience fell short of expectations. The access road to the property was in poor condition, which made arrival a bit difficult. The room itself had several issues: the bed was uncomfortably small, and the bathroom lacked a lock — something I’ve never encountered before in any hotel stay. There were no labels on the provided toiletries, leaving us unsure which was shampoo or conditioner. Despite the room description mentioning a mini bar, there wasn’t one present. The dining experience was also disappointing. We placed our order around 9:00 PM, but the food didn't arrive until 10:15 PM, and it was cold by the time it reached our table. To add to this, the corridor on our floor was completely dark, as no lights had been turned on — a safety and comfort concern, especially at night. While I appreciate the staff’s efforts, I hope management takes these concerns seriously and makes the necessary improvements. This property has potential, but attention to detail and guest comfort needs to be prioritized.
