Beautiful, peaceful location directly by the lake
* Very clean room, comfortable bed, AC, hot water, fridge and coffee
* Amazing homemade breakfast and dinner – the owner’s daughter-in-law is an excellent cook!
* The owner and his family were incredibly kind, helpful and welcoming ❤️
* They organized everything for us: safari, tuk-tuks, shopping and laundry
* Great location for Sigiriya and safari trips – around 30 minutes away
* You can relax by the lake, swim and go fishing
* We loved it so much that we extended our stay for another night!

The hosts were so pleasant and accommodating. They offered us a driver when we asked, they gave us dinner and breakfast. The dinner was amazing, breakfast was good. It’s family run and they’re so lovely, we loved our stay. They were so kind and brought our bags up to the rooms.
Shower wasn’t hot, but it was lukewarm.

The cottage was very quaint and in the jungle by a lake. It was a great experience to be surrounded by nature !
The hosts were exceptionally sweet and always accommodating. They made us packed breakfast for early morning rises and were always able to accommodate any needs.
The only issue was insects in the property which was expected given we were in the jungle

Das Baumhauskonzept im Wald am Rande eines kleinen Sees.

Es ist ein einziges Baumhaus=Zimmer vorhanden und ein zweites im Bau. Ansonsten keinerlei Hoteleinrichtungen. Keine Rezeption/Lobby, kein Aufenthaltsraum, kein Restaurant.
Wir hatten zudem Pech mit dem Wetter, es regnete fast pausenlos und wir stapften im Matsch herum, da auch keine befestigten Wege vorhanden.
Wir bestellten uns das Abendessen auf die Terrasse oben vor dem Zimmer. Dafür wurde freundlicherweise ein Tisch und Stühle hoch geschafft. Das war eine gute Lösung, auch für das Frühstück.
Das Zimmer selbst hat 3 grosse Betten, damit Platz für bis zu 6 Pers. Wir waren zu dritt. Es ist noch unvollständig ausgestattet, kein Schrank, keine Kleiderhaken, keine Gepäckablage. Das Bad ist offen, es gab keinen einzigen Haken für die Handtücher und es fehlte das Abflussrohr der Dusche.
