The location of the cabin and the view
Privacy was not absolute. The outside gate was not fully locked and caretaker, food delivery persons would walk right in without notice. The whole point of having a private cabin for yourself gets defeated by this and given the area is forested with no outside light, it was scary as hell when someone would approach us unannounced.

We had a wonderful stay at Wind Over Waters! The cabin was spotless and exactly as described, surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty. The adjacent lake was a perfect spot to unwind and connect with nature. The peaceful atmosphere and serene surroundings made our getaway truly unforgettable. Highly recommended for a relaxing retreat!
One minor suggestion for improvement: adding a couple of lights between the cabin and the gate (car parking area) would be great. It gets quite dark in the evenings, and extra lighting would make walking to the car much safer and more convenient. Otherwise, we loved our stay

The property was serene , nestled amidst the woods , exactly how we needed … a respite from the crowd & a break into nature … lots of birds and a beautiful river
I think it’s more to do with the remoteness … power cuts can be a concern … rest all good … carry some ready to eat food ..
