Great location in lovely Santa Monica. Really close to the Main Street and restaurants and bars. 15 minute walk to pier. Great secure parking. Lovely clean and modern apartment with everything you need.
Bin collection could be quite loud early in the morning from 1 bedroom.

The accommodation was very nice, clean, very well equipped. The lady I spoke with regarding the accommodation was very nice.There were cafes, restaurants nearby. 7 eleven, target...
We actually only had 2 problems. The first is the misleading title "5 minutes walk to the beach", the truth was that it was at least 15 minutes to walk to the beach at a brisk pace. The second problem was the parking in the garage, which was great, but the downhill slope was poorly made so guests with low cars will have trouble getting there. We had a Dodge Charger in a sports trim and we scraped the bottom of the car.

The location, having a 2BR apartment with a kitchen vs. a hotel, and free parking were the high points. The host was also helpful in adjusting our checkout date when we inquired about staying an extra night. I would stay again and would've rated it as a 7.0 overall (vs. a 6.0) if not for the check-in issue which delayed us several hours and forced us to inquire with Booking.com about cancelling & rebooking.
The check-in process was quite bad -- partly due to the setup/lack of communication and partly due to the lack of timely support from Booking.com.
We did not receive check-in instructions in advance of arriving and no one answered the contact phone number for the property. Add to that there was no on-site office and the address for the key pickup (which was incorrect btw) was a block away.
My only recourse was to submit a support request in the Booking.com app and to call Booking's toll-free support number (provided as a supposed VIP customer), which dropped my call repeatedly. In all, checking in required ~3 hours of inconvenience (& 6 hours overall) before the property contact replied with instructions to get the keys and access to the parking.
Booking.com's email messages stating that "An agent will get back to you within 24 hours" and the Booking customer service agent who said he'd put a Post-It note on his PC so the next person coming in for the shift would call me back (they didn't) made me decide that I won't use Booking again for non-hotel reservations.
