Spacious and comfortable. The homeowner was very kind, helpful, and responsive. I had an unexpected flight schedule change, and he was very understanding and allowed me to change my booking dates, which I really appreciated. There is also a convenience store within walking distance.
One thing to note: I didn’t see any information on Booking.com stating that the bathroom/toilet is located on a different floor, except in one of the review. The property is also located along a busy road, so if you’re a light sleeper like me, I would recommend bringing earplugs. Otherwise, the traffic noise may keep you awake throughout the night.

It was wonderful to be immersed in the village and learn about the ‘real’ Bali. Bagus and his family are very kind and welcoming. The accommodation is very clean, beautiful and surrounded by nature. It is also a 2 minute walk from a local convenience store.
While a kettle is generously provided, the room does not contain a fridge so plan meals accordingly. Overall good value for money.

The property is so well designed, like a traditional Balinese house.
Bagust and his familly are really good people.
It was very clean, the bathroom was new, the natural light from windows of the room was so amazing to have during the day.
The room was very spacious with a large patio and balcony.
It is close to so many good restaurants, café etc
Walking distance to stores.
If you have a motorcycle it’s even better because it’s close to the center of ubud.
So it’s not about what I didn’t like it was mostly about the noise of the traffic.
There’s a very busy road in the front of the property.
The windows and the door are not soundproof.
So if you are a light sleeper this might not be for you.
You can alway wear some earbuds, it helped me.

Bagus and his father truly love opening their compound to visitors as family and deeply sharing the Balinese way of living life....including invitations to ceremonies. The shiwer is great!
