Quiet and peaceful. Comfortable beds. Early check-in allowed for 60,000vnd. The staff and their daughter-in-law are kind and professional. The daughter helps manage the building and speaks English. She will suggest many places for you to try for food or tourism in Hanoi. She's very welcoming and hospitable and will answer you any time of day with any assistance that you need.

Bathroom could be a little cleaner, the showerhead has a lot of calcium buildup and I didn't feel comfortable using it. Many tiny ants and spiders, but that's probably due to guests keeping the windows open. Many long hairs in the room. The hotel has very steep winding stairs, might be a problem for someone with poor balance or big feet because it's very easy to slip and fall. No control of the A/C. It's pre-set, so the door and windows must be closed and it takes a while to get cool. Lastly, mind your water use. The staff will become angry if the water is running too long even if accidentally.
