If all you basically need is a quiet place to sleep in the centre of town, the appartement is ok. This was the case for me: In the morning I was just short walking distance away from public transport. Quick at my conference and quickly back home. The environment is quiet, pitoresque with its trees and old brick houses and it seemed safe.

As the appartement is sous-terrain, there is almost no natural light and air. Without AC, it quickly felt stuffy for me. Besides, some of the light bulbs were missing (kitchen) or defect (bathroom). If I would have had to stay there longer or during the day, it probably would have made me feel a bit depressed. As I was in Boston on a business trip, a closet or at least a few hangers on the wall would have been helpful. Having to hang my freshly ironed suit or shirts over the back of a chair was not ideal.

Great flat for 2 and an amazingly fun part of town. Bonus if you are in Boston for the marathon. Host takes good care of you: shampoo, conditioner, soap, TP, and stocked kitchen. TV with app services for when you need a short break of sightseeing. Good lighting throughout and a strong bathroom fan! Access into the flat and communication with host was simple and fast.

The bed is a Murphy Bed. Comfort of bed was ok. Host is very thoughtful and gives plenty of warning and I’ll just add to this: the entry stairs are VERY steep. If you have any issue with stairs or climbing please consider this.

Amazing location! Well equipped kitchen! Spacious and clean! Steps away from Newbury Street!
