Oyster River Guest Room

I had a wonderful stay here and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The location is absolutely beautiful and very peaceful, which made it a perfect place to relax after spending the days exploring Vancouver Island. The room was very comfortable, the bed was great, and everything I needed during my stay was there. Everything was also very clean and well taken care of, and I immediately felt comfortable and welcome. What really made the stay special, though, were the hosts. They are incredibly kind and genuinely lovely people. They were thinking along with my plans, gave me great recommendations for places to visit in the area, and were extremely flexible and helpful. That says a lot about the kind of people they are. And of course, I can’t forget their super sweet dog! It was one of those accommodations where you feel that the hosts genuinely care about their guests and want you to have a great time. I’m very happy I chose to stay here and would absolutely stay again when I return to Vancouver Island. Thank you again for the wonderful stay, your hospitality and all your help. I can highly recommend this place!

Quiet, clean and comfortable. Large patio to sit and enjoy viewing the beautiful garden. Hosts Bob and Gladys were incredible. We also loved seeing Bernie the friendly family dog! Exceptional 3 night stay. We will definitely be going back.

Absolutely no complaints

Gladys et Bob sont des hôtes absolument charmants sympathiques et serviables qui vous font vraiment vous sentir chez vous dans leur logement. Très bien situé dans un endroit calme mais proche des commerces de première nécessité le studio est très propre et spacieux. L'accès à une terrasse privative a également été très apprécié.

L'endroit est un peu isolé sur le plan des restaurants dont le choix est limité. Mais bien sûr cela n'a rien a voir avec le logement lui même ni avec ses propriétaires qui, une fois de plus sont extrêmement acomodants et se mettent en quatre pour vous satisfaire.

It is a nice quiet area, and the room was overall lovely. Cleaning was passable - I know I was given an early check-in, but ... Pillows and bedding, towels were nice. Coffee area with fridge, microwave and kettle was nice.

Very unsecure! There is no lock on the room door, and the main entrance door would not lock. I arrived back in the evening to find my room door Wide open! The shampoo provided was nice, But the body wash was horrible scented. The toilet roll holder was horrible, being only about 6" off the floor and part of this huge magazine holder that made using the facilities difficult. I always check beds for bedbugs and found none, BUT the mattress was disgusting. Would be nice if there had been a place to set my suitcase.
