Daydream Island Resort

Great location, loved the far end of the island and pool. Lovers cove and the lady singing. Doing the snorkeling in the onsight tropical reef. Overall the staff are friendly and helpful

Maintenance is noticeably lacking-shower was an issue in the room- could only use handheld as overhead shower had numerous leaks out the side. Some staff were surly. The bar guy up the end of the island was very slow and not happy.

From arrival to departure the staff were wonderful. So pleasant to speak with and the marine biologists were so informative. The room was lovely. The only thing for us was that the extractor fan in the bathroom didn’t work and was a little annoying. When the staff made up the rooms they tucked the children’s toys into bed and the kids really loved it.

We are at the Salti restaurant a few times. Food was average. I was very disappointed one night when I had a pizza that was supposed to be chicken and caramelised onions and it came with 3 pieces of chicken and red onion - definitely not caramelised and not what I ordered and paid for unfortunately. Everything else was very cruisy and island life. You got exactly what was advertised when it came to the accomodation. We loved it

I Loved -The Living Reef was unique and a delight to watch - the grounds are in immaculate condition -all the statues hidden in the garden & along the pathways were fun to find - pathways around the Island and a treat of icecream at water sports cove made it a daily walk for us -Shovel-nose Ray feeding was VERY special - Great that all equipment used / available is in tip top condition. As well as all pool lounges

DD island Improvements -A few more umbrellas over pool lounges on Driftwood apt side -a seated lounge on cement area in front of Graze Interactive Dining so can view Living Reef without having to go into the restaurant -why give welcome necklaces of shells? This encourages people to collect shells which is not a good thing. Go back to giving out the blue & black shoulder bags instead -Salti Restaurant should have 2 lines at entry…one for takeaway orders and other for seated guests - A notice in the rooms listing activities (paid and free) available on Island would be great.

Food was very average and extremely overpriced.
