Welcoming, comfortable, good breakfast. Cake was offered on arrival ! Excellent shower in our room.

Host was very friendly and the location was good on the main street, the use of the living/breakfast area to relax with coffee and cake was a bonus.
The stairwell could do with decorating and cleaning more regularly. The room could have been cleaner.

Welcoming and thoughtful host, very accommodating. Lovely breakfast, cooked to order. Tea and incredible cake ready for us on arrival. Lovely sitting room with real china and lots of reading material. Big room with clean bathroom.
I'm not terribly chatty in the mornings and it took longer to get away than was ideal - we were under a bit of time pressure. If you have time to spare, it wouldn't be a problem at all.

Location was perfect for walking st Cuthberts way. I arrived early and got to my room. I had a very friendly welcome, the accommodation was so relaxed and homely. I was well pleased with a cup of coffee and homemade cake on arrival....so impressed.
