The Colliefields Hotel

Friendly helpful staff

Basic but clean tidy and in the town

Reception area wasn’t very inviting Tv remote was taped together and didn’t work well

Hot shower and bed to sleep in was all we needed - perfect

There was a whirring noise all night (possibly from heaters ?) that was quite loud.

The central location was great and staff were pleasant

The room we were originally in had a leftover pizza box along with a carton of milk in the fridge from the previous person. We let the manager know and they changed rooms which we didn't ask for but appreciated. The bathroom looked like it had hardly been cleaned. There was a used bath mat on the floor along with a used bar of soap in the shower. There was what looked like mold stains in 1 corner of the bathroom ceiling and on the underside of the toilet seat lid. The stairs going down to the main reception and cafe looked like they could use a good clean and are rather steep. The manager and other staff member we met were pleasant, no complaints regarding them.
