Good parking, restaurant very good

Twin room a little cramped but fine for a one night stay

Location … staff are great … free parking .. the piano playing at night and the log burning fire when it’s cold …

The rooms downstairs could do with being re vamped

Everything at the place is nice and the staff are lovely the area is lovely and the food is good

Breakfast and attitude of staff let down the stay. To be allocated a 'slot' of 30 minutes to be seated and complete breakfast was unacceptable as queues were forming to make toast and self service items. One hot drink was petty given the price paid for B&B. The breakfast room was not full and so the idea of slots was ill conceived and given the staff continually banging on about you have 30 mins for breakfast gave the strong impression that the system was for the staff benefit and not for the paying customer. I have stayed at this property numerous times over the past seven years and never have I felt so unwelcome. It was like school dinner time - if you are early you have to wait - if you are late you lose. If breakfast is advertised as being from 08.00 until 10.00 then the customer should choose it is not the place of staff to dictate.
