It was a good house with plenty of space for our family. There was some trash left on counter and in bedroom upon our arrival. It’s definitely dated but provided for our needs. It was HOT in the house. I recommend more fans. Host did provide another working fan when we contacted them. Great view and close to town with a secluded feeling! Also was great they provided crib and high chairs!

House was very clean and was described accurately. No air condition but it was not needed we did open windows. The roads to the house were being reworked and had large equipment to maneuver around.

Our group of 6 adults and 2 teens had a comfortable stay at Elkhorn West. The home was spacious and allowed all eight of us to have a real bed(no sofa sleepers), which was a huge plus. The views were beautiful, and the location was excellent. We loved being only about three minutes from downtown Estes Park, with easy access to coffee shops, stores, and bakeries. Cinnamon’s Bakery was one of our favorite stops for cinnamon rolls.The home was very clean and well maintained. We noticed no dust, the tubs were spotless, and everything felt cared for. We appreciated the comfortable new couch, newer stove, microwave, refrigerator, and dishwasher. The coffee makers worked well, and the kitchen was one of the best-stocked vacation kitchens we’ve used, with plenty of dishes, cookware, utensils, seasonings, soaps, and towels. The home is not updated, but we enjoyed its cozy feel. It reminded us of Grandma’s mountain retreat , dated décor, but comfortable, welcoming, and full of character. The only reason for four stars was the lack of air conditioning. The listing does not advertise A/C, and we overlooked that detail. During our July stay, the home became very warm in the afternoons due to direct sun and needing windows closed while away because of bears. We used fans and purchased two additional fans to help with airflow. Nights were comfortable upstairs with windows open. We would not choose this home for a July stay, but we would gladly consider returning in fall or winter.

Location and views were amazing! Home was stocked with everything imaginable. Direct sun made it very difficult to cool the house during June. Additional fans or a few window units would be a very nice addition.
