Aayu Church St - 7 mins to Esplanade, George Town

The location was great and the space itself was very cozy and clean. Even better was that I had the place to myself most of the stay. But even when there were people, there was enough privacy. Loved that my room was facing the beautiful temple so I would wake up to it every day

A tad noisy due to festival

The bed was comfortable and clean. So was the bathroom. Staff were helpful when I couldn't find the bathroom light and came out in person to show me where it was - of course, in the living room! Also contactable through Wattsapp, in time, but when I called their "Emergency numbers", neither one was answered, although the issue with the wifi was eventually sorted out through Wattsapp. I had no problem with road noise as others have mentioned. However, I had to climb 40 steps to get to my room on the top floor.

Sketchy area with no people manning the facility and dodgy front door, meaning I felt unsafe. There are strangers walking around in front of your door and you don't know whether they got in the dodgy front door or were guests. I also didn't appreciate the Wattsapp message begging for a 10 rating on this site. Improve the security and facilities and you'll get it.
