The location was only 5 minutes from our daughter's house, so very convenient. There was a handy shop, post office and off licence [all in one and open all hours] an easy short walk away. A pleasant footpath ran alongside the cottage, although it did pass through a golf course.

The cottage was extremely well furnished, comfortable, charmingly quaint and quite old. However, we found the number and arrangement of high or awkward steps from room to room and into the garden rather difficult. The information about the property was ALL on-line. Directions, keycode arrangements and appliance instructions were to be sent on the day we left home, although, as this would not suit us, we managed to get these sent earlier, after a phone call to the company. Thank you. However, arrangements about leaving the property were sent late afternoon on the penultimate day. As we had booked through our home PC email address and not through i-pads or mobile phones, we did not receive the relevant information about vacating the property until back home.

The situation and the garden

Some of the light fittings were a bit low for my husband. 6ft 3ins. The one over the sink in the bathroom in particular.

Beautiful cottage with lots of character. Communication with the host was great too.

the instructions for basic and essential facilities such as how to boost the hot water should not have been lost in a myriad of other instructions on long winded email paths. It should have been highlighted from the start together with where to find the key.
