Lovely, well equipped, cosy cottage. Lots of quirky little extras and thoughtful touches by the owners. There was a Halloween theme at the moment. We have stayed in Skipton many times but this cottage is exceptional. We stayed for a long weekend. The cottage is ideally situated for all that Skipton has to offer. Supermarkets, pubs, cafes and many different shops all within a very short walking distance. The canal is close by and the walk along there into the canal basin is very interesting and useful to get to that part of the town. We also walked in Skipton Woods, behind the Castle, listened to music in the Sound bar and sampled the fish and chips on offer.

There was absolutely nothing not to like

Very attractive, homely cottage. Host quick to respond. Location central and parking at rear a bonus. Shopping centre nearby. Full of lovely little touches to make your stay a bit more special.

I like to cook my own meals and needed to be creative with kitchen supplies... dishes, saucepans, etc. Its a small space but in keeping with that style of housing. This is not detract from overall quality of accommodation at all, just my specific preferences! Would stay again.

Good location and very clean. Excellent facilities. Nice touches with Tea, coffee, water and sugar in kitchen. Shower gel etc , in bathroom.

There is road noise but we were aware of this and took ear plugs. The worsr disturbance was from the boiler which is in a cupboard in the back room. It came on several times in the night and is very noisy. We also found the seating in the front room impractical as there is only space for one person to sit upright, the other space means stretching out your legs. We are in our 70's so this was impractical as was the reclining rocking chair in the corner.

The location was close to the centre. The beds and sofa were comfy and it was spotlessly clean.

The bath is a lovely feature but only luke warm and electric shower is oddly placed in the corner bath along it inadequate. The cottage is on a major road and very noisy traffic in the evenings. Master bedroom is very small and have to sit on floor infront of mirror to do make up / dry hair. Boiler in spare bedroom is very noisy and kept children awake.
