Habían insectos, mosquitos y “no-see-ums” como se le conoce creo que deben de fumigar para estío.

Good family environment; kitchen was adequately equipped, pool was nice. Boardwalk to beach, AMAZING shells! Not super crowded in this area, which was nice. One downside—you need to bring lots of greasy bug repellent for the no see ums. Circumstantially I think they can be better or worse depending on the season/month. Start out expecting them, and you’ll be fine. I think the price was a bit steep given the basic accommodation, but everything accounted for, we greatly enjoyed ourselves! Plan for bugs, and maybe you will be pleasantly surprised (apparently since hurricane Ian the bugs have been especially bad on Sanibel). The unit was nicely clean, but there were signs everywhere touting that it is a pet friendly resort, so I could see how you may get a unit with a bunch of pet hair from a previous occupant. There IS an on site office for property management, which was great in case of needs, although we didn’t end up needing anything. The rental agreement that you sign before arrival clearly states that you are responsible for your own trash bags, toilet paper, etc (plan on stopping by Jerry’s market) but the ‘starter packs’ left in the unit were surprisingly generously stocked. We appreciated the washer/dryer and the A/C units worked very well. Knowing everything that we now know, I would highly recommend, just come with Bug Spray and use it from the first day on…if this place is available for your dates BOOK IT!!!!!! 😍

As is typical for a rental, the kitchen knives were dull and the pans were in terrible shape, but we managed. There is only a briquet grill available (buy a mini bag at Jerry’s!), which made cooking our steaks a bit of an adventure as we generally grill on propane grill, but it was fine.

For a pet friendly place there wasn’t a grassy area but we understand sanibel island is recovering from hurricane damage. Just a suggestion for the future. There wasn’t a great place to walk the dog ( dog didn’t like the rocks) Dishes in the condo weren’t very clean we rewashed them so no big deal but they had food still on them.
