The Chapel House Hotel

Breakfast was good

No staff on site and the parking not so good.

Has a great stay at the Chapel, the room was a great size. Checking in was nice and easy and all details were straight forward. The room was lovely, we had a room for 3, there was one really big bed but the 2nd was a put up bed. Ok for a small child. The main bed could have done with a mattress topper as it was a a little hard but still slept well. We didn't notice any noise outside but earplugs were provided, we didn't need them. Location was great about a 10mins walk down the hill to the beach and seafront and Into the town centre. A few shops closed by if you needed anything.. Breakfast is a pre order and is delivered to the room. We enjoyed the breakfast but there was some confusion with where we were ment to leave the order form. Think this could do with being revised but they quickly sorted it and we got most of what we ordered.

Bed was a little hard and breakfast system not clear . There is parking outside but between 9am- 5pm- mon-sat and 12pm - I think 5 pm sunfays you need a permit. The accommodation provided a free 3 hour disc is free but if you need a longer one you need to purchase one. As someone who didn't know the system in Scarborough we hadn't understood this correctly, we used the 3 hour disc and was ok but if you are arriving much earlier than check in make sure you get the 2day pass.

Staff were great and communication was good to, the breakfast tray was also good, also it's in a good position for walking as it's partly up the hill

Room 6, needed maintenance and some tlc, dripping shower, mould on the shower hose and the tray and screen needs a deep clean, rusty toilet roll holder, main room sash window cords missing so window really heavy and had been left a wooden wedge to hold open or wedge shut as no lock either. If these items were done would have been an easy 10 but as they weren't I have to say this was not worth what we paid but hopefully they will get it sorted

The pool is not on site and was not open , no bar on site. Could order cooked breakfast but no cereal option for kids
