The location was ideal and v convenient for shops, restaurants and pubs in the town centre, as well as a short walk to the beach. We had no issues parking as the season was tailing off when we stayed. The Adnams brewery is close by and the aroma was v pleasant. The Southwold Museum and the Adnams brewery shop are a few feet up the road and both are well worth a visit. The lighthouse is a few 100 yards away from your doorstep. One night we walked back from the Sail Loft restaurant and the sky was clear enough to see the Milky Way so the seafront is a v low light pollution area. The cottage itself was furnished to a high standard and very cosy, with two double bedrooms upstairs, one serviced to the rear by an en suite and a bunk bed sized room for families. Downstairs are a master bathroom, traditional galley-style kitchen plus dining and living room. There is a large games selection and we made use of the Chromecast dongle to watch our own content on the one night we stayed in. The enclosed courtyard was perfect for letting the dogs out at night. All in all Hope Cottage was wonderful.

Victoria Street is a busy thoroughfare so plan to deal with some pedestrian and vehicle traffic noise. Also, two v minor things where guidance could be improved.. 1. When we arrived the cooker had been turned off at the mains which took a few minutes to realise. 2. The bin collection schedule wasn't in the welcome pack but we found it online easily.

Location. So close to High Street and beach. Overlooks beautiful St Bartholomew’s Church and green. Very comfortable bed.

Bathrooms a bit dated. Was not aware that dogs not permitted upstairs or allowed to be left on their own in the property until we had arrived and it was stated in Guest Handbook.

Location was perfect. Just behind the main high street and a couple of minutes walk to the sea. Location wise it was perfect! just a step away from everything.

One bathroom is downstairs and one is off bedroom 2 and 3. if you are in bedroom 3 you have to walk through bedroom 2 to access it. Everything was comfortable for our stay though.

It had everything we could need.
