My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Riad M’Barka. The property is gorgeous, and it has an old-world, exotic charm that you just won’t find at large chain hotel. It’s right in the medina, so the location is great for dining and shopping. We also felt safe there. Our room was spotless and lovely, the bed was comfortable, and we loved the breakfast they served on the beautiful rooftop each morning. Really, we loved everything about our stay, but what stood out the most was the quality of the staff, who were all kind, helpful, accommodating, and professional. When we arrived, we were told that we could relax and feel at home there, and that’s exactly how we felt. Although it’s an upscale kind of place, it’s also laid back and chill, not uptight and stuffy like some places can be. The staff was also helpful with recommendations and coordinating transfers. And, the price was great! If you’re looking for an amazing place to stay in the medina, this is it! We stayed in 5 places during our stay in Morocco, and this was our favorite.

There was nothing not to like.

Not too far from where the car left us

It was difficult to communicate with some of the staff since they did not speak English

Lovely, helpful staff. Delicious breakfast. Great location.

Our first night there, the ac wasn't working and it was uncomfortably hot. They fixed it for the rest of our stay and then it was quite comfortable. You could hear other guests coming and going so may not be great for light sleepers.

Location was walking distance to the port

Unfortunately, our stay was quite disappointing. The hotel was extremely difficult to find. Once we arrived, several aspects of the room also fell short of expectations. The bed was uncomfortable, making it difficult to get a good night’s sleep, and the cleanliness of both the room and the bathroom left much to be desired. Unfortunately, the air conditioning was also not working properly, which made the room quite uncomfortable. Overall, we expected a much better standard for the price and were disappointed with the experience. There is certainly room for improvement, particularly regarding cleanliness, comfort, and basic room maintenance.
