Super ausgestattet, alles da was man braucht. Die Gastgeberin hat uns super lieb empfangen und alles gezeigt und Tipps für die Erkundung gegeben. Die Aussicht vom Wohnzimmer und Balkon ist der Hammer!!! Allgemein ist die Lage toll weil man in ein paar Minuten mit dem Auto in Taormina ist. Hatten eine tolle Zeit und haben es sehr genossen!!

It is really nicely thought through. You feel right at home. Some amenities were missing (drying rack, dishwasher tabs) but given that we were the fourth renters of this property, it was already very well equipped. The property is looking even nicer than on the pictures. You really noticed that the host put a lot of thought and love into the property. She also had no problems welcoming us late in the night. The beach access is nice and there usually is near to no one there. The ACs are very efficient and cool the property down very quickly. If you are going by train, the trainstation is right in front of you with access e.g. to Catania or Messina. Unfortunately, due to the streets, it takes you around 10 minutes. Parking in this area is stressful. So the private parking is a treat. Small shops and cafes are in walking distance.

The location is a mixed bag. You can walk to Taormina but it is uphill and if it is a hot day, it is exhausting. Also, around the property there often is little to no sidewalk, which can feel scary at first. If you thought you would stay in Taormina, this is not the place to stay. However, we enjoyed this calmer location a lot. The train station is audible but didn’t bother us too much. I would say, the waves of the ocean are usually louder. If you are a light sleeper, you might need earplugs but we were fine with it. The directions to get to the building can be improved. It felt wrong to go into a narrow side street and cross a small stream with the car. A warning up front would have prepared us better. Also, at one point the electricity went out because we used too much power (cooking and ACs in parallel). A warning about this or at least a manual where to find the fuse box (outside the building close to the gates, hidden behind some hard to see doors) would have helped a lot. This way we had to get in contact with the owner, who was not reachable. Luckily, she also left the phone number of her son, with whom I could video call and find the fuse box together. This was very inconvenient in the time we were waiting for some one to respond and could easily be fixed with some small notes on the house rules around this. Again, as the property is freshly on the market, I understand that one didn’t think everything through yet.
