Center Apartments

There are only two apartments in the building which meant we did not hear the noise of other guests. It was also far enough away from the bars so you could sleep at night. It had a mini kitchen with a cooktop, fridge, kettle and a good range of cooking utensils. The apartment is on the ground floor with a balcony outside with a table and chairs and a clothes line for drying beach gear. Our rental car was parked directly in front of the balcony in a wide parking space. The hot water, wifi, air conditioning and Netflix worked well. There is a barber shop and cafe in the same complex but we didn’t use either as we could make our own food and drinks. A supermarket is a 2 minute walk from the unit and the main Ksamil beach a 6 minute walk in an almost straight line. We did not pay €30 for sun beds in the main part of the beach and instead went to the public part of Ksamil beach (near the Ostro Beach Bar and Restaurant) which was free (without subbed). We also spent three days at Gjiri I Hartes Beach(also in the public section) and it was a much nicer spot. We also visited the Butrint ruins, which were lovely, but try to get there when they open at 8:30am as the cruise ship crowds arrive around 10:30am . The ruins were a 10 minute drive from the apartment. Overall, we enjoyed the feel of the place so extended our stay for another two nights. We would stay there again if we return to Ksamil.

We had a wonderful stay in Ksamil! The apartment is in a perfect location, right in the centre, with everything you need within walking distance. Despite being so central, it was surprisingly quiet, so we had no problems with noise at all. The apartment itself is spacious, clean and very comfortable, with a separate bedroom and a nice balcony. The balcony was especially nice because it wasn’t in direct sunlight all day, making it the perfect place to sit and relax. The host was incredibly friendly and helpful. When our taxi dropped us off at the wrong location upon arrival, he came to pick us up himself. On the day we left, he also drove us to the port of Sarandë so we could catch our boat to Corfu. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Ksamil.

El alojamiento está genial, con sitio para dejar el coche y todo.

Ksamil es insoportable. Está todo masificado y hay muchas playas que ya son privadas y no te dejan ni poner una toalla en la arena sin cobrarte. El peor destino de toda mi ruta por Albania sin duda alguna. Hay muchísimos otros lugares con playas preciosísimas y apoteósicas y no merece nada la pena ir a Ksamil. Nada más llegar estaba deseando irme. Nada auténtico, es guirilandia. Sólo ves albaneses trabajando, el resto de la gente por la calle son todo turistas, un horror. El turismo ha arruinado todo. No vayáis.
