The Old Farmhouse Pub and Rooms

The staff were incredibly helpful. We needed to rush off to lunch, but were able to drop our bags at the bar. When we got back to check in, our bags had already been taken to the room. We had too busy a weekend to be able to eat in the bar but I'm told the food is great. The room was comfortable and had some great touches like complimentary use of umbrellas, slippers and light snacks. I would definitely recommend!

When we arrived we were really tired and feeling a bit grumpy from a day of travelling, but Leo met us at the bar, offered us a drink (on the house!) and carried our heavy cases up to the room for us. The room is decorated very nicely and the little extra bits they've added go above and beyond what you would expect. THE BATH 😍 and all the toiletries smelled amazing. Bonus dog paintings everywhere too, just so lovely. It was great to have the personal touch on checking in, but also there's a back way into the building if you're not feeling sociable, which is nice as we find London very full on and sometimes need a bit of quiet. Oh also, the room had oat milk, which is something I have never experienced at a hotel before and think it's a great little extra. It's very close to Kentish Town tube station and lots of little useful shops for everyday needs.

My only negative points would be that the bed was really bouncy and we kept waking each other up all night when we turned over.. I think small people would be ok, but my husband is 6ft + and we usually have a king, but knew this would be smaller, so not really the hotel's fault. Also the doors are all quite noisy, so when other guests came back at night their doors kept waking us up - that said, there was no noise from the bar or the street, which was really impressive! That said we really loved the place and it was only a couple of small things that we would change.

Rooms are nicely decorated and have all the needed amenities. Nice location close to metro.

No noise insulation between rooms which makes it basically unlivable if your neighbours are noisy. We could hear the voices (the actual words spoken, the snoring, the television..). Did not sleep at all the first night . Bed is also very small for 2 - a size range is indicated so it might depend on room (recommend to ask in advance if important to you)
