Food was excellent. Riverfront location was wonderful for birding. This lodge is the farthest from the gate - 24 km. Good for quiet and you get a game drive coming and going.
Staff kept asking us when we were eating, but meals were often not ready at those times. Internet router was working but not connecting to internet. We were given a radio to communicate with staff but rarely connected with anyone. Good staff and nice hotel—just needs better communication.
6 / 10Nella media·ott 2026
The staff, especially Kelly and the Chef, were excellent — friendly, proactive and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable, particularly with our dietary needs.
However, the lodge itself needs significant attention to maintenance and infrastructure: we experienced several hours without electricity or hot/cold water, and the property generally felt tired and under-maintained. Great potential and excellent staff, but the facilities currently fell short of what we expected from a safari lodge.
