Quaint little apartment in an ideal location. All amenities needed were available at the property.

Quite a steep staircase to climb for anyone with mobility issues. I didn’t mind but just to bare in mind

The location is fantastic! We are all film professionals in Cannes for the festival; the 15-minute walk was very convenient. We used both the pull-out sofa bed and the extra cot. Both were very comfortable. We had some minor issues with the apartment, things not supplied etc, the owner had a friend close by who came and supplied what was needed. The apartment was plenty big enough for us, and we prepared some simple meals in the tiny kitchen. The view out the window is gorgeous, a great deal for the cost.

The apartment itself is up a set of stairs. Just inside the building, there is a very steep set of stairs, about 35 steps. These were not mentioned in the description of the apartment. They were difficult to navigate and exhausting after a long day. Inside the apartment, there was nowhere to hang clothing. There was a broken clothes drying rack that we used to hang our clothes. We did our best to repair the rack with tape. Our entire stay, we thought the front door did not lock. We were mistaken, there was a process to lock the door that we were not shown upon arrival.

L’appartement est très bien situé et le lit est confortable, ce qui convient bien pour une personne et un court séjour. L’hôte est très réactif, gentil et disponible, et a accepté ma demande de check-in anticipé, ce que j’ai apprécié. La femme de ménage était également très gentille.

En revanche, plusieurs équipements essentiels manquaient à mon arrivée : pas de papier toilette, pas de savon pour les mains et pas de serviette de douche. Pour le papier toilette, l’hôte pensait que j’avais utilisé le rouleau en une seule journée et m’a demandé d’en acheter ; il a finalement pu m’en apporter après environ 30 minutes. Pour le savon, il m’a proposé d’utiliser le liquide vaisselle. Concernant les serviettes, il m’a expliqué que les voyageurs précédents les avaient toutes utilisées, et j’ai donc dû utiliser les petites serviettes pour les mains. Ce sont des détails faciles à éviter, mais qui ont quand même un impact sur le confort, surtout à l’arrivée. Mon conseil à l’hôte : vérifier systématiquement le linge et les consommables essentiels avant chaque arrivée (papier toilette, savon, serviettes de douche). Avec ce petit point d’attention, l’expérience serait nettement meilleure. Malgré cela, l’emplacement, la réactivité de l’hôte et le confort du lit restent de vrais points positifs.
