We had a wonderful weekend getaway at Astley Cottage with our dogs. Kevin and Ellen were exceptional hosts, and we were delighted to find a delicious sweet treat waiting for us in the fridge on arrival. The cottage has fantastic amenities and is incredibly comfortable from the cosy bed to the perfect lounger for relaxing. One of our favourite moments was sitting on the veranda, taking in the gorgeous view of the gully, so peaceful and calming. The location is ideal too: close to both Hepburn Springs and the Daylesford township, with a walking path that makes it easy to stroll to either. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay and would happily return.

Neat, clean cottage. Not quite as we expected- “complimentary wine” must be a figure of speech as there wasn’t any. “Netflix” must mean purchase your own. Wifi worked fine. We didn’t find the bed very comfortable, pillows too big and firm for me, had to use a couch cushion instead. Spa takes half a day to drain, no kidding. Private spot, nice garden, host left us to ourselves
