We’ve been coming to Holmes Co. for nearly 20 years. We usually stay in hotels, this was only our second rental experience. It was wonderful having seclusion, whilst still being just 10 minutes from the center of it all. My kids are 14, 13, and 10. I wish we’d stayed here when they were younger and could enjoy all the fun backyard things! We did still enjoy an evening fire, and I loved sitting out listening to the birds. The donkey and ponies were our favorite thing. We loved feeding them carrots and just watching them eat their hay.
The house was clean and spacious. The dessert left for us was yummy. Thank you! I loved being able to keep up on laundry during our stay. We couldn’t figure out how to work the fireplace but the gas heat was plenty for the chilly nights. My teens loved having their own bedrooms upstairs. I do think some consideration should be given to the king mattress being replaced. It dips a bit in the middle. Overall it’s a great stay for families and is decorated lovely. I especially loved the sign above the fireplace. I hope we get to come back again soon!

The stay was great. The place really needed a 1 bathroom, and the lighting was very poor other than that. It was a great place. To stay. Also could not get any of the heat to work.In any of the rooms

It was a nice place to stay. I think it is more suitable for a family with teenagers. I was traveling with my elderly mother and aunts, and there were aspects that didn’t work for us…But it was a lovely place and a beautiful location and the host was wonderful with communication:)
