Summary:
Welcome to The Samuel Adams House! Nestled on the east side of Owasco Lake in Auburn, NY, this wonderful estate was the former summer home of literary treasure, Samuel Hopkins Adams.
This amazing stone Tudor was painstakingly renovated to its former glory and was recently introduced to rentals in July of 2019. It sits on over 1.2 private acres and has 6,500sf, sleeps 14 people and features 6 TRUE bedrooms all with queen beds, 4 1/2 bathrooms, 3 living rooms which includes a billiard room, chefs kitchen with high end appliances and 2 four season sitting porches. All four full bathrooms and the main level sitting porch have heated floors. There is also three separate forced air HVAC systems that provide air conditioning and/or heating to all areas of the home. There are also two gas fire places. The lakefront is truly impressive. This historic home boasts over 160 feet of private level lakefront. The fishing is amazing right off of the dock! We also have four kayaks, two paddle boards and a mooring buoy available for your enjoyment.

This property is magical! Several in our party said this was the best rental they have ever stayed in, and I have to agree. Gorgeous lake views and access; more than enough room for our 10 adult family members to enjoy group meals, chatting by the fire pit and playing games; large, comfortable bedrooms; and ample space to "get lost" inside the house if you want quiet. The dock was great for swimming, and there were plenty of beach chairs, kayaks and paddle boards for our party to enjoy. The kitchen was fully stocked, the gas grill worked great, and the firewood burned extremely well. This property also was spotless. We cant wait to return!

The lake was so peaceful and the yard, including the outdoor furniture, was so comfortable. The house had everything we needed. Debbie was quick to answer all of our questions and kept us informed about the property and surrounding areas. We are a group of 8 retirees enjoying our annual vacation together. We could not have picked a more accommodating home. We would love to return to enjoy more of the area.

Such a beautiful home and fun property. So much space for a large group. Having so many full bathrooms was great. The kitchen is spacious. The family room has a great view. The lake property and dock is very nice. Our whole group (14 of us) said we would go back.

Beautiful property. Spacious accommodations. Easy communications with owner. Plenty of kayaks and paddle boards available for use. Kids had a great time fishing off the dock, caught allot of red eyed rock bass. Very peaceful setting. Great vacation spot.
