The OVO Network team’s opinion -
Chalet Backflip is a four-bedroom, five bathroom apartment for up to 10 guests.
The location, opposite the chapel in the Gotty area of La Clusaz, is perfect for skiers in the winter, as it's just 350m from the nearest slope and the ski bus stops 100m away. Chalet Backflip is just as convenient in the summer, when you can hike or bike into the Aravis mountains, or stroll into La Clusaz to visit the market, pick up some shopping or enjoy a meal in one of the many restaurants.
We love the ground floor ski room, laundry room and sauna - after a day on the slopes, you can leave your outdoor gear in the ski room, jump in the shower and head for the sauna to relax before dinner.
The beautiful living area of Chalet Backflip invites you to get together for a chat on the squishy sofa or enjoy a meal at the huge dining table. The three double bedrooms each have their own stylish shower room, and younger children will love the bedroom with bunk beds, which sleeps four - they get their own separate shower room.
Please be aware that the apartment offers no view over the mountains.
Free wifi, cleaning, towels & linen included.
ATTENTION - 10 September 2026 - The sauna is temporarily out of service. NOTE: if a group books both apartments BACKFLIP and FRONTFLIP, each rental can only host 10 people max around the dining table. IMPORTANT: The Backflip rental is in a chalet consisting of two apartments, in a residential area. It's located above another apartment called FRONTFLIP. To preserve the comfort of all and respect the neighbourhood, parties are not allowed on the property. This property is best suited for families. Groups of adults are NOT accepted at the property. Thank you for your understanding. Please be aware that the apartment offers no view over the mountains, and no garden or terrace. IMPORTANT: Bed linen, towels and household linen are included in the price of your stay. Additional cleaning during your stay is available at an extra cost to ensure you enjoy a completely stress-free and carefree stay. We really enjoyed our stay at the chalet. Celine was a great host and very helpful and responsive. We enjoyed the sauna, used the raclette set and the garage to park the cars came in handy too especially as it snowed lots that week. The chalet is well located near a bus stop. The bus into town is not so frequent and parking in La Clusaz is paid for and quite busy during school holiday times. These points are not related to the chalet but worth visitors knowing. The chalet is great and we would recommend the chalet and OVO as a host.

Lovely stay in this apartment. We visited toward the end of the season, so there was a bit more wear and tear than expected, but nothing that affected our stay. The host, Céline, was very helpful and greeted us with a welcome basket of local delicacies, which was greatly appreciated. Wonderful location, allowing us to make the most of our time walking the mountain trails!

Great stay! I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a cozy and spacious home and who doesn’t mind being just slightly outside the village.
