On the south shore of Hvar is located the small village of Ivan Dolac, which is surrounded by steep slopes covered with vineyards which result in grapes for well-known quality wines. Impressive are also the stone houses in Ivan Dolac, typical examples of Dalmatian architecture. Ivan Dolac can be reached by road which leads from Jelsa via Pitve through the tunnel to the south shore of Hvar. In the village there are a few restaurants and shops, and for all your other needs there is Jelsa the nearest bigger village.
