My room had an ocean view and if that’s not good enough I was able to walk down the stairs to the beach! The pool area was a perfect spot to lounge after being in the sun. The host was very accommodating and communicated promptly. There is a nice walking/running path, coffee shop, market, restaurants and small shops all within walking distance!

Islander on the Beach is a great place to stay on Kauai. It is about wequal distance from Waimea Canyon on the west and Princeville on the north, The property is very nice, and the units are all comfortable. The units do not have ktichens, but the Coconut Marketplace next door has several good(and rasonable) choices for food as well as a small (but pricey) grocery. It is close to the airport. We have stayed there several times and always been happy.

Location is convenient to the airport, shopping and east-side beaches. Kitchen is tiny, don't plan on cooking a full meal with it. Fortunately there is a communal grill in the pool area but you have to either eat next to the pool or haul all your food back and forth. Other complaint is that we never received a welcome or arrival email with door code. Had to contact manager to get into the unitl
