THE SPACE: "OLD FLORIDA" SERENITY MEETS MODERN ADVENTURE

Escape the high-traffic tourist zones and discover the hauntingly beautiful landscape of Lake Rousseau. Calming Cove is a private waterfront sanctuary designed for those who value nature, quiet mornings, and the legendary fishing this region is known for. Whether you're sipping coffee on the dock or exploring the cypress-lined shores, this home offers a level of peace you won't find anywhere else.

A THOUGHTFULLY STOCKED EXPERIENCE

We believe a great vacation means zero stress and fewer errands. While many rentals provide only a starter roll of toilet paper and expect you to buy the rest, we thoughtfully stock the home with all the everyday essentials so you can start relaxing the moment you arrive. Save your trunk space and your grocery budget—we’ve got you covered:

-- Kitchen & Household: A fully loaded spice rack, aluminum foil, plastic wrap, and plenty of paper towels and toilet paper for your entire stay.

-- Chef’s Kitchen Upgrades: We go way beyond standard pots and pans. Enjoy a fully equipped setup featuring an air fryer, Insta-Pot/rice cooker, a large seafood stock pot, crab crackers, and individual butter warmers for your fresh catch!

-- Backyard & BBQ Ready: Complimentary firewood for the fire pit and charcoal for the grill are already waiting for you.

-- River & Lake Adventure Gear: Skip the local rental lines. We provide complimentary kayaks, coolers for your day trips, and innertubes ready for floating down the crystal-clear Rainbow River.

A Note on Occupancy: Our home is professionally curated for a comfortable experience for 6 guests. While we can accommodate up to 8 using the living area sleeper sofa, please note that an additional $50/night fee applies for the 7th and 8th guests. This helps us maintain the high standard of our premium amenities and covers the extra utility and linen costs associated with larger groups.

A GUEST FAVORITE WITH 5-STAR EXCELLENCE

We take great pride in our reputation for excellence. With over 120 five-star reviews, our guests frequently highlight the immaculate condition of the home, our responsive hosting, and the "perfect" lakefront location. When you book Calming Cove, you aren't just renting a house; you’re booking a proven, top-tier vacation experience.

THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS: RIVERS, SPRINGS, AND MORE

While you’ll feel worlds away from the hustle, you are perfectly positioned to enjoy the best of the Nature Coast:

-- THE RIVERS: Minutes from the crystal-clear Rainbow River and the scenic Withlacoochee River—perfect for tubing, swimming, and exploring Florida's famous springs.

-- NATURE & PARKS: Close proximity to local nature parks and trails for hiking and bird-watching.

-- DINING & SHOPPING: Enjoy the charm of historic Dunnellon with great local restaurants and boutique shopping just a short drive away.

RARE INCLUSIVITY: HANDICAP-FRIENDLY DESIGN

We believe the beauty of the lake should be accessible to everyone. Calming Cove is one of the few properties on Lake Rousseau featuring a fully handicap-friendly layout. With wide transitions and thoughtfully designed accessible features, we’ve removed the barriers so your entire group can enjoy the waterfront in comfort and safety.
