Our house, “Backbord,” is a townhouse in the “Mein Fleckchen Rügen” vacation complex, located in a quiet village setting near the water. It has its own entrance off the large terrace, which offers a beautiful view of the garden on the 12,000-square-meter property. The first floor features an open-concept living, dining, and kitchen area, highlighted by historic exposed beams. The spacious bathroom with shower and toilet is also located here. The two bedrooms are on the upper floor.
The Accommodation
A 3-seater designer sofa (BRÜHL) can be converted into a wide bed in a single motion (extra bed; bookable for 4 or more people at an additional charge). Together with the lovingly restored historic country-style armchairs, the rustic dining set, and the many original watercolors depicting local scenes, you’ll feel right at home from the very first minute.

Bedroom 1 on the upper floor is furnished with a wide double bed and a crib. The sweeping view from the dormer windows over the garden, the pastures, and all the way to the gentle ridge line along the Bodden is breathtaking. In the evenings, you can count the stars in the clear sky. There’s no light pollution on Rügen.
Bedroom 2 is usually used as a children’s room. One of the two wooden beds has a pull-out drawer with a mattress, providing a comfortable third sleeping spot as an extra bed (bookable for 4 or more people at an additional charge). The large closet offers space for several suitcases’ worth of belongings; there’s also storage space in a dresser in the entryway, yet still plenty of room to play on the floor.

Please bring your own towels and bed linens (sheets, pillowcases; standard size: 1.35 wide x 2 m long). Unfortunately, there is no good and affordable laundry service in the Westrügen area.
If you’d like to pack lighter, however, our service can provide bed linens and towels (unmade).
The cost for providing linens is as follows:
€15 per person for a bedding set per stay.
€10 per person for a towel set (hand towel, bath towel) per stay.
You’ll then receive a payment request via Airbnb.

Your children will feel right at home. The spacious property features a playground with a slide, swings, playhouses, and a large play area.

For the adults, there’s plenty of space for sunbathing and quiet spots to relax with a good book. The large, partially covered barbecue area is available to all guests and not only offers shelter from a sudden shower but also lets you keep an eye on your children while they play and enjoy the golden sunset over the Moritzhagen hill in the evening.
Guest Access
Once we receive your booking, we’ll contact you. You’ll receive the current code to open the key safe next to the front door of your booked house via email approximately 5–10 days before your arrival.

Note
Our houses are equipped with permanently installed mosquito screens. In midsummer on Rügen, it’s advisable to use mosquito repellent when outside during sunset.
