Alpine Forest Lodge is nestled in the Aspens and Pines in the mountain village of Duck Creek. Within walking distance is Duck Creek, Aspen Mirror Lake and wondrous nature hiking trails. The clean mountain air is an extra benefit of this vacation retreat. This beautiful lodge was built in 1963 as one of the first built in Duck Creek. Many come to hike, bike, ski, ATV, snowmobile, hunt, horseback ride, etc. I Large back yard for you to enjoy events and all sorts of outdoor activities for Family & Friends!! Plenty of space for volleyball, croquet and other games.
Out past the yard, Duck creek flows thru a beautiful meadow directly behind which makes this the perfect environment to escape and enjoy nature at its finest!!
The lodge is centrally located between National Parks & National Monuments, Lakes, Streams and more:

- Bryce Canyon - 42 miles
- Cedar Breaks - 14 miles
- Strawberry Point - 9 miles
- Navajo Lake - 4 miles
- Mammoth Cave - 4.5 miles
- Cascade Falls - 4 miles
- Panguitch Lake - 32 miles
- Brian Head - 23 miles

Please be patient while we are making a management transition. This is a learning curve for me. I have been in the restaurant business for 36 years so this is a bit different! LOLS! We are still working to get smart tv's throughout, updating curtains and updating bedding. We have been moving things around to increase your comfort in my beautiful lodge but it will take me some time!
Who would have thought this community would be what it is today!
I am so grateful to be a part of the Alpine Forest Retreat and my restaurant Aunt Sue's Chalet, 2 doors down. She was built in 1968!
There is so many things to do in the area located directly between Zion and Bryce National Parks!

THERE IS A PIZZA PLACE WITH LIMITED HOURS, A DELI WITH LIMITED HOURS,

The location is great. Close to everything. The place is large and can accommate large groups. The place does need lots of attention. The main bedroom is used as a storage room for the cabin. It had lots of shelfs but were 100% intentionally used for towels, rugs, etc., things that are not even needed. There was absolutely no room for guests' clothing. Everything on the shelves needs to be thrown away. The pantry was loaded with junk, again no room for our food. Common comments were this entire place is used as a storage shed with no room for the guests. The fridges and freezer are old and were not working properly. They need to be replaced. The shelves in the laundry room were also loaded with junk so no room for the stuff needed. To get the place ready for use, it will take someone with organizational skills and several truck loads of junk to be taken to the dumps. Then, the master bedroom will become functional, the pantry will have room for guests' food, and the laundry room will be serviceable. To me, the cabin is far from being ready to be rented. It needs new appliances, new drapes that work, new furniture that is not broken or torn, new mattresses, which are very old. We had fun, but the place is a mess.

The cabin was absolutely beautiful and very spacious! We were so shocked with each rooms set up and had the best time for our retreat!

The lodge was not quite what we had thought it would be from the pictures, or lack of pictures. I had communicated back and forth with the owner several times with questions, she was quick to reply. I was disappointed when we got to the property to find in both upstairs bedrooms that you had to walk through one bedroom to access the next room. A good deep cleaning and a couple of days with a handy man would help bring the lodge to its previous glory.
