very nice view of the islands (Oléron, Aix and Fort Boyard). No street between the apartment and the seaside.

Beach, marina, shops and restaurants 200 meters away.
Sea bus connecting the port of Minimes to the old port of La Rochelle.
For the little ones, games, slide and merry-go-round are just waiting for them.
You can discover the beautiful city of La Rochelle, its ports, its towers, its town hall, its new aquarium, its colorful market and products from the land and the sea.
By boat you will discover the islands of Aix (without car), Ré (cycling paradise), and Oleron (the largest)
More in the land, the winemakers will make you taste the pineau or cognac.

The apartment has everything you need for a vacation. Despite temperatures of over 30 degrees, it was relatively cool in the apartment even without air conditioning. The sea view from the balcony was amazing. The location was great. 3 minutes to the beach and about 15 minutes by water bus or bike to the center of La Rochelle. The apartment is a bit older and needs to be renovated. Some things were very worn, but still acceptable. Reine was a great host and communication worked very well. Towels and bed linen can be booked for an extra fee. The final cleaning must either be done by the guest or will be done by a cleaning company for an extra fee. Depending on how well the guests clean beforehand, you could be out of luck and cleaning should always be done by an agency. The rent should be increased accordingly. Overall we had a great time in La Rochelle and the apartment, but would like some things to be updated.

Our trip was compromised by illness. First, my husband wasn't well so we were delayed in leaving home. Several days after we arrived I developed a serious gastro flu. Though we, unfortunately, were not able to enjoy this trip, the property, particulary the view is even better than described. Though I hope other travelers don't need to admire this, clever placement of a bedroom mirror, allowed me to see the ocean even when I was confined to bed. The locaation of the property is excellent too. It's very near a lovely beach with restaurants and stores.
