Villa Kleanthi is a 265 sq.m. residence, located in a private land of 5,000 sq.m. at the quiet village of Kare, offering impressive mountain views. Furnished in a contemporary style, the two-storey villa can accommodate 8 guests in its 4 bedrooms and up to 9 in total.
Being only 15 km away from the long sandy beach which lies in front of Rethymno city on the North coast and 30 km away from the famous natural beaches of South Crete, Villa Kleanthi is a great holiday base for excursions around the island.
Layout of the Villa
Ground Floor:
-Living room with: Comfortable seating area, a fireplace, Bluetooth speakers, a 48 HDTV with Netflix, a home cinema
-Separate, fully equipped kitchen with all necessary appliances
-Direct access from the living room and kitchen to: main veranda, pool area, and garden.
-Laundry room with a washing machine and one full bathroom with a shower
Two bedrooms: One with a double bed and one with a semi-double bed
First Floor:
Hall with office and library overlooking the living area below
Two bedrooms, each with king-size beds (1.80 m x 2.00 m)
One bedroom includes an attic with: HDTV, semi-double mattress
Both bedrooms feature: Private balconies with stunning views, and en-suite bathrooms with hydro-massage shower cabins
Outdoor Area
1,000 sqm landscaped outdoor area with aromatic herb gardens, flower gardens, and trees
-Facilities include: 35 sqm swimming pool with 6 sunbeds and 2 umbrellas,
-Fully equipped charcoal BBQ area with: Wood oven, a sink, a Pergola
-Outdoor dining table in a shaded veranda next to the BBQ, overlooking the pool and landscape
-Multiple furnished relaxation areas (sunbeds, outdoor sofas, outdoor beds, hammock) across balconies, veranda, and gardens
-2 adult bicycles, and safe play areas for children
-Fenced parking area for multiple cars
**Accommodation cost excludes Climate Resilience Tax. The amount for the accommodation type is set at EUR15 per night from April to October and EUR4 per night from November to March, payable upon check-in.

A special place to stay.Tucked away in the hills above Rethymno (around a 20 minute drive). The property itself is well-furnished, with high-quality furnishings throughout. The kitchen is especially well kitted out. We hired a car, however, the taxi service (number supplied by host) made for a trouble-free excursion, to and from town, especially if one likes a tipple! The views are stunning, and the outdoor space and pool make it a very relaxing stay.Would recommend without hesitation to anyone looking for a peaceful Cretan retreat with a bit of seclusion from a busy world.

Lovely house perched on top of a hill, this remote location was clean and spacious and offered breathtaking sunset views!The owner was there to greet us upon arrival to give us a brief walk through and provide a few recommendations.If you are looking to be on the outskirts of a major city centre like Chania, Heraklion, or Rethymno, this is a nice place to stay. It has a lovely pool (heated at extra cost) and an outdoor BBQ/lounge area ideal for end of June, July and August weather. The beds were extremely comfortable! The kitchen has some of the basic essentials if you don’t want to go out for dinner or prefer home cooked meals but I strongly encourage anyone staying there to try Alekos Taverna in Armenoi — Joseph, the owner and the chef was wonderful! Unfortunately, the wifi and TV weren’t working most times due to some upgrades being done in the area at the time we were there so we had to use our data and couldn’t watch TV to wind down after a busy day. Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay at Villa Kleathi.

Fantastic! Beautiful views, charming decor, refreshing pool. The house has everything you need for a great vacation, and the hosts make sure to help you with any questions like the nearest grocery store or nearby tavernas.

A perfect villa for our 5 night stay in Crete! The home is spacious, welcoming and offers not only complete privacy but amazing views from a wrap around porch and pool. We appreciated being able to spread out, enjoy the views from all of the bedrooms, and enjoy family meals cooked in the well-stocked kitchen. Our gracious host met us a check in and was available for any questions we had. It was a central location convenient to really sample the many wonderful offerings of Crete. I would highly recommend!
