This cottage is in a quiet marshland which has expanded since the Herring River tidal restoration project. We were pleasantly surprised to discover that we had stayed in the cottage next door a decade ago. This area is replete with history of the writers and artists who also serenity and each other's companionship. I would return, if it were possible for my husband to negotiate the sloping terrain and staircases up to and inside the cottage.

This property is lovely and we'll definitely be coming back next year. Not only is it aptly named (quiet & private), but you're immersed in nature here with beautiful sunrises,lots of wildlife, and, to my surprise, sweet, clean air drifting in the windows all day and night... I had expected a boggy smell given the surroundings. I had also expected lots of mosquitos, but only got one bite the entire week. The house is really charming with clean and comfortable furniture (that king bed was so comfy!) and everything you'd need for a week's stay. Can't wait to go back!

Everything was perfect, the house looks small from outside but is very spacious and comfortable inside, romantic seclude location, the only thing i wish the old pans are thrown away, the bathroom sink needs professional cleaning.
