We enjoyed a lot our stay and we can highly recommend Les Parazols. Jean-Pierre is a very helpful and friendly host - he knows really well his region and recommended a lot of visits and activities. The house is comfortable and well-equipped, the garden is huge and safe (great for small children). It is very calm and at the same time close to many places of interest: abbaye de Fontfroide, Carcassonne, les chateaux cathares, the sea, Narbonne, etc.

We have just returned from a week at the gite, 2 adults and 2 teenagers. The pictures do not do it justice, it is much more spacious in real life. The gite is located in the middle of many villages for amenities. There is a Spar in St Laurent which stocks everything you need. We could not fault the gite at all, it was very clean upon arrival and has everything you could possibly need to make your stay comfortable. The grounds surrounding the gite are perfect for using the bikes to explore, there is a ping pong table and a pool which we did use along with hammocks and loungers. The area is very quiet and great for getting away from it all. When we arrived we were greeted with a complimentary bottle of wine made by Jean-Pierre and were taken on a tour of his cava where he makes his wine. Jean-Pierre is very enthusiastic about the area and will answer any of your questions. We visited Collioure on our first day on Jean-Pierre's advice and would say it is a must on anyone's list of places to visit. We enjoyed our stay so much we will be returning in the future.
