Numerous shops, restaurants and grocery stores are in Kapa'a town only 15 mins. to the south or visit historic Kilauea, just 15 mins. to the north. Beautiful property and cottage in a great location for exploring the island. Kaala is a lovely host and even lent me some crutches when I sprained my ankle!

We loved the location of this place. Pretty convenient for exploring different points on the island. The property itself is beautiful. Our host was welcoming and warm. As visitors to Kauai, we felt good about choosing a place to stay that financially benefits native Hawaiians versus staying at a resort or renting from nonnative peoples.

Kaala was a great host. Super chill and helpful. The cottage was just what we were looking for. No resorts, no tourists. Beautiful grounds.The cottage had nice touches and had everything we needed for a nice decompress after a week of doing the tourist thing. Next time we'll be staying here for our entire stay. Can't wait to come back. Aloha

ABSOLUTELY Amazing! Just wow, Kaala was such a gracious and kind host, gave us space and helped with any and all needs. We will be doing a yearly visit to her cottages! And if you get the chance you MUST do 808goatyoga, with our teacher Sheera, the story of the island and the fun to be had is priceless! We look forward to our next stay next year!
